For a local service, you want to reach people who are already looking for help. Therefore, Google Search Ads or Google Local Service Ads are your best bet.
Think about keywords like "Electrician near me", "Emergency electrician", or "Electrical repair". Enable phone extensions so people can call you straight away. And if you can't always take calls, schedule the ads to run only when you're free. A callback widget on your website could help, too.
I usually recommend a starting budget of $1-$2k per month for ad spend. Of course, this depends on how many leads you need and the cost per lead. I remember we ran ads for childcare services where the cost per lead was around $10 per signup. On the other hand, we're running a campaign for an HVAC company in a competitive area, and they are seeing costs of around $60/lead. So be mindful that costs can vary depending on demand and the area.
