Hi there,
Thanks for getting in touch, I'm happy to give you some initial thoughts and guidance on your Facebook ad campaign for your essential oils monthly plans on Loyaltie.
It sounds like you're targeting a specific demographic: middle-aged women with families. That's a good starting point, but we can probably get even more specific to really nail the targeting. I'll go into that a bit more later.
We'll need to look at your target audience...
First thing is first: let's think about your ideal customer. You've mentioned middle-aged women, probably with a family. That's a good start, but can we dive a bit deeper? What are their interests? What are their pain points? What motivates them? Getting a really clear picture of your ideal customer will help you craft ad copy that truly resonates.
Have you tried segmenting this audience at all? For example, are there specific interests within the "essential oils" niche that you could target? Perhaps people interested in aromatherapy, natural health, or eco-friendly living? The more specific you get, the better your chances of reaching the right people. I'd also have a think about behaviours, like people who regularly purchase organic products or those who are members of specific online communities related to essential oils. This is a B2C product after all so its important that you get the audiences right.
I remember one campaign we worked on for a client selling women's apparel, where we achieved a 691% return on Meta and Pinterest Ads. We achieved this by focusing on the specific interests of our target audience.
I'd say you need to test different ad creatives...
The ad itself is absolutely crucial. You want to grab their attention immediately and communicate the value of your monthly essential oils plan. I'd recommend testing different ad formats (image, video, carousel) and different copy angles. What are the key benefits of your essential oils? Is it relaxation, improved sleep, reduced stress, or something else?
Think about using high-quality images or videos that showcase the essential oils and their benefits. Maybe show a woman relaxing in a bath with essential oils, or a family enjoying a peaceful evening thanks to aromatherapy. The visuals need to be appealing and relevant to your target audience.
It's not all about the visuals of course, the ad copy is important too. Try to write in a way that speaks directly to your ideal customer. Use language that resonates with them and highlight the benefits that matter most to them. Consider things like "Reduce Stress, Naturally", or "Create a Calming Home Environment".
I recall that we've had software clients see really good results with UGC videos. There are many angles to test there, so it’s always good to keep an open mind!
You probably should look at your Landing Page...
The landing page experience is another big one. This is where potential customers will actually sign up for your monthly plan, so it needs to be as smooth and seamless as possible. Make sure the page is easy to navigate, the signup process is straightforward, and the benefits of the plan are clearly highlighted.
Think about using clear calls to action, such as "Sign Up Today" or "Start Your Free Trial". Also, make sure the page is mobile-friendly, as many people will be accessing it from their smartphones.
Ensure the landing page is trustworthy and legitimate. Add trust badges, reviews and testimonials from customers, links to other places you sell your products, social profiles, publications you've been featured in, your address and maybe more ways to contact you. All of this can help potential customers feel more comfortable signing up for your plan.
Also, try to gather data, e.g. with Google Analytics, look at your analytics. Where do people drop off? You get visitors to your start page but only a small percentage of product page views? You're either getting the wrong type of traffic (look at your ad targeting/keywords) or maybe the products features aren't a good fit. You get lots of product page views but no adds to cart? Likely your product photos, product descriptions, or pricing needs work.
I've detailed my main recommendations for you below:
| Area | Recommendation | Justification |
|---|---|---|
| Target Audience | Narrow down your targeting based on interests, behaviours, and demographics. | More targeted ads will reach the right people. |
| Ad Creatives | Test different ad formats and copy angles to see what resonates best. | Ads that resonate will grab the attention of potential customers. |
| Landing Page | Make sure the signup process is seamless and the benefits are clearly highlighted. | An optimised landing page can greatly improve conversion rates. |
It is of course just my initial opinion, and there are no guarantees of success. But I think these things will help improve your chances.
You'll need to implement these changes, test them, and be patient as the campaign gets optimized. These B2C campaign's can be difficult but can also be incredibly lucrative if you get it right!
Advertising can be tricky and time-consuming, especially with all the different platforms and targeting options available. It really does help if you have experience and know what works.
